This module is designed to introduce you to advanced concepts in developing leadership skills to be successful in organisations. The module will allow you to develop new insights into advanced topics frameworks to better understand their ‘own’ leadership style and develop their ‘own’ leadership capabilities.

Business Model Design for the Digital Economy

Specialised module

Business models come in many varieties, depending on, for example, industry sector, purpose of the business and technology context. Linked to the proliferation of business models, IP practices are also evolving rapidly. This module is designed to expose you to different approaches to business model planning, paying particular attention to the different roles different types of IP can play in these. We will analyse these issues in different situations, with the aim of becoming proficient at thinking through the possibilities and pitfalls of alternative approaches to entrepreneurial value creation.

Entrepreneurship

This module provides a stimulating and integrated view on the practice of entrepreneurship and new venture creation. The central aim of the module is to de-mystify entrepreneurship and demonstrate that many of the skills and competencies required to launch and grow a successful business can be learned and practiced. You will scout or develop a first venture idea at the start of the spring term with practical workshops and individual team coaching sessions to help guide you. In the summer term, you will research your business idea and either write a business plan or a report, explaining the insights that have led to a negative business case, i.e. abandoning an entrepreneurial idea. You will present your plan or negative business case to peers and a panel of academic and investor judges in a competition held at the end of the summer term.

The module will help you understand the success factors of high growth ventures before and after their initial public offering (IPO).

Personalisation

Personalisation

Electives provide an opportunity to shape the programme to your own ambitions. You will choose two electives in an area of interest to advance your knowledge and expertise.

AI Studio: Building AI-Native Businesses

This module teaches you to design an AI-native company as a studio project: iteratively, publicly and critically, you will apply the Intelligence Capital theory. Projects will pay explicit attention to Intelligence Capital Generators, specialty agents and the operating architecture of the firm. Design of the module is inspired by how architecture is taught: hands-on projects, group critique (or 'crit') and discussion. Assessment will be through faculty and peer evaluation of final projects, informed additionally by a presentation to outside industry experts (VC, CTO, AI CEO, etc).

AI Ventures

In this project-based, team-oriented module, you will explore applications of artificial intelligence technologies that will improve or transform existing financial, health and other systems, markets and methods, by spending dedicated time building new business models, products or technical concepts.

Consumer Behaviour

In this module you will explore consumer psychology and how consumer behaviour can be shaped. The module examines consumer psychology theories and current findings to learn how to apply these to develop marketing techniques that cut through the noise, shape or alter consumer behaviour and help build and sustain consumer loyalty.

Design Psychology

Design and innovation place particular emphasis on human factors, or the study of the way humans behave physically and psychologically in relation to certain environments, products or services. Understanding humans requires basic knowledge in psychology, which is the scientific study of the human mind and its functions, and specifically those impacting behaviours in a given context. This module provides you with basic tools to consider human behaviour and experience to affect impactful design solutions to global challenges.

Digital Marketing

Recent development in internet, digital media and social networks have greatly reshaped consumers' behaviours in information consumption, entertainment and communication. Consequently, marketing activities and strategies need to evolve with and adapt to the growing presence of online consumer behaviours. This module teaches you the current approaches to conducting marketing activities online, as well as a basic understanding of the underlying technology.

Family Business

This one-week block module is designed to help current and emerging leaders and owners of family business understand the special challenges of family enterprises and manage the strategic and personal challenges that are ever present in this form of business entity. Through a series of lectures, case studies, activities, interactive presentations and discussions with a number of visiting family business owners sharing their experiences, you will have a rich experience in understanding the “how to” and the “how not to” of family enterprise.

Leading Social Innovation

This module explores the brave new world of social innovation and how businesses can tackle social problems through innovation. While achieving business success and creating social welfare have often been seen as oppositional, a new generation is challenging this by trying to use business as a force for good. These social innovators tackle social problems in two main ways: by becoming social entrepreneurs who lead social enterprises (businesses that seek to fulfil a social mission), or by becoming social intrapreneurs who seek to achieve social change within the for-profit firms that employ them. Through this module you will be equipped with the tools to become a social innovator.

Management, Strategy, and Innovation in Fintech

This one-week block elective navigates the competitive fintech landscape and outlines corresponding management strategies for firms to deal with the fintech innovation. You will learn how new entrants to the financial sector devise entrepreneurial strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of traditional financial services by leveraging cutting edge technologies such as blockchain, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as discussing how industry incumbents respond to the competition by integrating innovation at various levels, such as technology licensing, joint venture, or merger and acquisition.

Marketing Analytics: Leading with Big Data

The marketing landscape is changing at an astonishing rate as a result of new emerging technologies, granular data availability and ever-growing analytics tools. Today’s marketing requires the use of data and quantitative approaches to support strategic decisions in rapidly evolving online and offline environments. Coding, machine learning tools, big data analytics and insight generation are becoming the new ‘must have’ skill set for marketing managers.

Taking a very hands-on approach with case study discussions and real-world datasets, this module aims to equip you with a working knowledge of analytics and big data applications in marketing. The ultimate goal is to help today’s business leaders transform their organisations by seizing the opportunities that big data and analytics present.

The module’s practical orientation will allow you to learn sophisticated data analytics in an applied and accessible manner. You will learn how to leverage value from data and focus on deriving actionable managerial insights.

Negotiating through differences

This elective will enable you to recognise, understand and analyse essential concepts in negotiations. While a manager needs analytical skills to develop optimal solutions to problems, a broad array of negotiation skills is needed in order for these solutions to be accepted and implemented. The module will be largely experiential, providing you with the opportunity to develop your skills by participating in negotiations and integrating your experiences with the principles presented in the assigned readings and class discussions.

Project Management

Success in both entrepreneurship and innovation depends on the successful execution at project level. This module will focus on the processes of project selection, assessing and managing project teams, stage gate processes and project evaluation.

Strategy and Leadership in a Digital World

Digital is transforming firms, sectors and our lives in fundamental ways. A combination of new technologies, business models and ecosystems is altering solutions and creating new offerings, generating significant value, while also disrupting existing firms. During this module, you will focus on strategy and leadership in digital environments, combining cutting edge research with deep field experience.

A significant element will be the engagement with senior leaders across different industries, who will share and discuss their perspectives and experiences. It will start by focusing the nature and characteristics of digital innovation, from the role of data and analytics as a strategic asset to platform-based competition, new business models and user engagement.

It will then explore how digital tools are being leveraged strategically by entrepreneurs to create opportunities for entry, scale and impact. It will also examine how leaders in established firms are driving digital transformation. The following topic is execution, exploring the alignment between strategy, organisational design, technology and markets to scale success. The module will equally analyse the organisational and cultural elements that foster change and sustain competitive advantage.

The final section goes beyond the firm boundary and considers the ecosystem as a critical element for business success in a digital environment and how to orchestrate and nurture its development.

Wicked Problems, Systems Dynamics, and Entrepreneurial Innovation

This module will introduce a new set of frameworks to apply to 'current wicked problems' in areas such as sustainability, space exploration, AI, healthcare and more.

To further develop and test these new systemic innovation heuristics, you will work closely on projects with Wicked Acceleration Labs’ industrial and academic partners. These include Airbus, MIT’s Center for Collective Intelligence, NATO's Defense Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA), Shell, Stanford's Gordian Knot Center, Telefonica and the World Economic Forum.

This module will be delivered in-person via a highly experiential modality, including teamwork ‘outside of the building’ in between sessions. There may also be ad-hoc workshops and lectures with experts and sponsors in the specific challenge domains.

Responsible AI: Ethics at Work

This module supports you in a discursive, case study-centred exploration of extended responsibilities and accountability mechanisms that surround digital innovation, with particular focus on forms of artificial intelligence and robotics.

It guides you through debates about the systemic socio-technical dynamics with which forms of AI are increasingly entangled. You will learn about managing complex stakeholder relationships over time and become better informed about the regulatory regimes that apply to different forms of AI around the world.

You will focus on the process of making trade-offs between opportunities and risks during the design, development and management of AI in organisations so that we don’t systematically exclude the vulnerable or exacerbate prejudice.

Global experiences

Global experiences

Global modules are electives that aim to deepen your understanding of key themes within a global context. These modules have an application process and require you to pay additional costs. Module themes and destinations may change on an annual basis, and are subject to availability.

Global Business Challenge (Entrepreneurship or Social Impact)

This learning experience is designed for you to work as consultants on a business challenge in an emerging market context. You will apply innovative thinking and problem solving techniques to achieve real commercial, social or economic impact. You will travel to the country where your client is based and deliver the project over an intensive one-week period.

The module will allow you to deploy your interdisciplinary expertise in business strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, finance and other areas, as well as your consulting skills to analyse the issue at hand, collect evidence and generate recommendations. You will also learn about working in an economic and cultural context that may be unfamiliar to you.

The module is practical, aimed at generating an output that can make a real difference to the local business and economy. You are encouraged to organise yourselves within groups and act independently to set goals, gather evidence, make contacts and generate conclusions and recommendations.

Global Immersion

This optional, one-week trip will consist of a number of visits to different companies across a range of industries, as well as social and cultural activities. You will travel with students from other programmes across the Business School, offering excellent networking opportunities.

Applied learning

Applied learning

The Business Applications in the summer will provide you with valuable practical experience and hands-on application in real industry and entrepreneurial situations.

You will choose between undertaking a Work Placement, a Business Startup or a Consulting Project depending on your interests and career goals.

If you are planning to pursue further study, you have the option of choosing an Individual Research Report, but you need to secure a supervisor to be considered.

Business Startup

The Business Startup module is your chance to apply your knowledge and skills to a specific aspect of a startup’s business development. This can be completed on an individual basis or as part of a team.

Before the start of this module, you will submit a proposal which will be checked for suitability by the Programme Director. If accepted, you will be allocated a coach - who brings with them a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur or investor - to monitor your progress on the module.

The Business Startup is assessed via an individual portfolio containing evidence and self-evaluation against the learning outcomes of the module.

Consulting Project

This is a substantial team-based project undertaken for a real client. It gives you the opportunity to apply the programme material to solving a real business problem, and to gain valuable consulting experience.

Individual Research Report

The Individual Research Report is the primary choice for students who have a firm offer to study on a doctoral programme or are in the process of applying to a doctoral programme, in lieu of the Startup Project, Work Placement or Consulting Project. Under exceptional circumstances, students not planning doctoral study can complete the Individual Research Report. You must secure a supervisor to be considered.

Work Placement

The Work Placement is an opportunity to experience and operate in a real-world situation. You are required to secure your own work placement, which will be checked for suitability by the Programme Director.

The Work Placement is assessed via two parts: (i) an individual portfolio containing evidence and self-evaluation against the learning outcomes of the module; and (ii) an analysis of the industry that the business operates in. This is an individual project that can be completed within or outside of the UK, subject to approval.

Extended Work Placement

With the Extended Work Placement you will access additional work placement opportunities, including longer summer internships in the UK and worldwide. You will gain deeper work experience credentials and boost your marketability with potential future employers.

Employers in Europe often view internships as a critical step in the hiring process, and by participating in longer internships, you can demonstrate your commitment and capabilities, making you a more attractive candidate for future roles. You will also graduate with additional credits, which is particularly valued by employers in Europe.

Please note that additional fees apply for the Extended Work Placement.

Do students actually develop and test business ideas during the MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management?

Yes. MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management is designed to support you to build out your business idea, create an actual business and take it to market.

In addition to learning the fundamental principles of innovation, entrepreneurship and management, you will have a range of additional support and opportunities to develop your ideas.

For example our White City campus is a hub for innovation and facilities include the Translation and Innovation Hub (I-HUB), Scale Space and the Molecular Sciences Research Hub.

The ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Enterprise Lab supports entrepreneurship and innovation and the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Venture Mentoring Service offers mentors with experience in entrepreneurship to help students launch their business.

Students on MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management can also take part in ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s entrepreneurial competition, Venture Catalyst Challenge (VCC) with £10,000 up for grabs.

What are the practical project options and how closely are they linked to entrepreneurship and real-world business building?

Towards the end of the programme, you will choose one of three practical project pathways, each designed to help you apply the concepts, frameworks and skills developed throughout the MSc in a real-world setting.

Business Startup

This option is the most entrepreneurship-focused pathway and gives you the opportunity to develop and test a new venture idea, either individually or as part of a team. You will apply entrepreneurial thinking, customer discovery, innovation methodologies and business model development to address a real market opportunity. Students gain first-hand experience of the challenges involved in launching a new business, from validating ideas and engaging potential customers through to refining a commercial strategy and growth plan.

Consulting Project

Working with an external organisation, you will tackle a live business challenge and deliver practical recommendations to senior stakeholders. The project develops your problem-solving, analytical and communication skills while providing exposure to real organisational issues. Many consulting projects focus on areas such as innovation strategy, growth, digital transformation, new venture development or market expansion, allowing students to apply entrepreneurial thinking in an established business context.

Work Placement

This pathway offers the opportunity to work within a company, start-up or entrepreneurial organisation, gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. Students source their own placement and then contribute to real business activities and projects while developing a deeper understanding of how organisations operate, innovate and grow. Depending on the host organisation, placements may provide direct exposure to start-up ecosystems, venture growth, innovation management or business development.

Whichever pathway you choose, the emphasis is on experiential learning and applying theory in practice. All three options are closely connected to the programme's focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and management, enabling you to develop the skills, mindset and experience needed to create, scale or support innovative ventures in a wide range of industries.

How and when do I apply for the Extended Work Placement?

No additional application is required before the start of your programme. When you begin your programme, you will be fully briefed on how you can opt in for the Extended Work Placement.

You will apply in term two of your programme. You will then be required to secure your own internship. The Careers team is available to support you in your search. Find out more about Careers.

If you have questions in advance of the programme start date, you can reach out to the Recruitment and Admissions team at business.school@imperial.ac.uk.

Does my Work Placement have to be in the UK, or can it be anywhere in the world?

You can secure work placements globally, but it is your responsibility to secure the necessary visa permissions if the work placement is outside of the UK.

What is the benefit of doing an Extended Work Placement via the extended term option over doing it on my own?

The Extended Work Placement allows you to undertake internships of four to six months as an assessed part of your programme, retaining student status for the duration of the internship. Students who complete the extended programme will also graduate with additional credits.

How is MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management assessed?

Modules will be assessed by one or more of the following types of assessment methods:

Additional admissions and entry requirements information

Entry requirements

Academic requirement

You should have a First or Upper Second Class Honours undergraduate degree from a recognised university or the international equivalent in any discipline.

Prerequisite knowledge requirements

MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management is not a highly quantitative programme and is open to graduates from all disciplines, but candidates are expected to be familiar with a basic knowledge of maths before the start of the programme.

Successful candidates will be provided with access to online primer courses in basic mathematics and accounting to prepare you for the programme from July onwards and will be tested on this in the Induction week.

Internships and work experience

Work experience is not a requirement, although undertaking relevant internships and work placements and listing them in the ‘Industrial/Professional Experience’ section of your application form will add weight to your application.

We typically look for candidates with no more than three years of work experience; those with more than three years will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

English language requirement

All home, EU and overseas applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency. Students who were not awarded their degree in a qualifying English-speaking country must demonstrate their proficiency by completing an approved English language qualification at the required level. Minimum test requirements for the most popular tests are:

IELTS (academic): A minimum score of 7.0 with minimum scores of 6.5 in all elements.

TOEFL iBT:

  • Tests taken before 21 January 2026: A minimum score of 100 overall with minimum scores of 22 in all elements.
  • Tests taken after 21 January 2026: We accept an overall score of 5.0 with minimum scores of 5.0 in all elements.

We will accept both scores for a period of two years.

Duolingo English Test: 125 overall with no less than 115 in any band score.

Similarly, if you are taking the GRE, you will need scores in the 90th percentile. Scores are valid for five years from your appointment date.

GMAT or GRE is highly recommended for candidates with less quantitative degree backgrounds to strengthen your application for this highly competitive programme.

What we look for

If you have a strong academic background and a flair for entrepreneurship and innovative thinking, then our MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management may be right for you. We’re looking for high-calibre students who are passionate about an entrepreneurial career, whether that's launching a startup, becoming an angel investor or innovating from within a global organisation.

Many of our students have previously been involved in startups and have unique ideas for expanding into the marketplace. Perhaps you have an idea but are unsure how to execute it. What matters is your enthusiasm and drive to make your idea a success.

Tell us about:

  • Your hobbies and interests: this could include being an active member of a society at university, or spending time volunteering or raising money for a cause that means a lot to you.
  • International experience: this could be through studying abroad, volunteering or travel.
  • Additional languages: for many of you, English is already an additional language and it isn’t uncommon for our students to be fluent in four or five languages, which can increase your employability.
  • Positive impact or achievement: this could be through representing a region or country at sports, mentoring young people or making changes to your university experiences through student leadership.
  • Career goals after graduating: you will be entering a highly competitive recruitment market and we want to see that you have already thought about the skills and experience you are going to need to succeed in your target organisation and role.
Application process

We have provided a step-by-step walkthrough on how to apply for the MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Management programme, with comprehensive instructions to ensure you complete your application successfully and meet all the essential admissions requirements.

Step one: start your application online

Visit the application portal and create an account by completing your personal details. Our online application form gives you the flexibility to save your progress and complete your application in your own time.

Step two: submit your supporting documents

You will need the following:

  • current CV (view for guidance);
  • personal statement questions(see blog for tips on how to write a personal statement);
  • complete degree transcripts with English translation if necessary (view international entry requirements);
  • contact details of two academic referees or one academic and one professional referee including their company/business email address. We recommend that one should be your current line manager or academic supervisor;
  • career planning questions, a quantitative experience statement and programming/computer software experience (if applicable);
  • English language scores if required (i.e. TOEFL, IELTS etc.);

GMAT/GRE is not a mandatory requirement, however, it can enhance the strength of your application.

Step three: complete your application

Once you have submitted your supporting documents you can complete your application with the £125 application processing fee. Once your application has been submitted your referees will receive a notification to provide your reference.

The Business School has a zero-tolerance policy to fraudulent applications, and we will report findings to the Home Office.

Step four: interview and admissions decision
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an interview using our online video platform. This is the best opportunity for you to demonstrate your passion and drive, and why you want to study a Master’s at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
  • AI guidance: The purpose of the interview is to get to know more about you. We want to see how you approach problems, your motivations and wider interests. If we identify malpractice or answers provided are not genuine then this may factor negatively in the admissions committee decision. Read our blog for more advice on how you can use AI responsibly in your application.
  • Application decisions will be communicated by the corresponding decision date for the round in which you applied. Please refer to our key dates and deadlines for more information on timeframes.
  • All students will undergo a Qualification Check to ensure they meet the necessary requirements.
Step five: submit outstanding documents and pay your deposit

After receiving your offer, you will need to submit documents to satisfy your offer conditions. As part of this process, you must verify your degree award through the online Qualification Check service, using a unique link provided in your offer conditions. You can view the conditions of your offer and respond using the application portal.

You will then be required to pay a £7,000 deposit for the programme.

Key dates and deadlines

Admissions and entry requirements FAQs

Why do I need to complete a Quantitative Experience Statement?

All of our programmes are academically rigorous and include a quantitative component. Therefore, all candidates are expected to have a basic level of mathematics before the start of the programme. The Quantitative Experience Statement provides an opportunity to demonstrate this to the selection committee.

In the Quantitative Experience Statement, you need to list up to five of the most quantitative modules or elements of your studies to date. You should detail:

  • the main topics of study (e.g. algebra, probability etc.);
  • the level of study (e.g. high school, undergraduate degree, short course etc.).

This will allow the selection committee to have an understanding of your quantitative experience to date.

We recommend you review the programme content and the pre-study modules and check what the numerical content of the programme includes before submitting an application.

How do I submit my qualifications to be verified?

To submit a verification request, you must first create an online account with Qualification Check. You should use the unique link provided to you as part of your offer conditions.

Once you have completed the two-step registration process, you will have access to your online account. Search for the name of the institution at which you obtained your qualification(s).

Then, follow the steps to enter the required information for submission of a verification request. Your details will then be sent to that institution to be authenticated by the appropriate department. Find out more information at .

What happens after I submit a request for my qualifications to be verified?

Qualification Check’s standard procedure is to contact the primary source of the information. This is the institution at which you studied. Qualification Check will regularly contact the relevant department at the institution to confirm the authenticity of your qualifications.

We understand that applications are urgent and Qualification Check makes every effort to accommodate your needs and expedite processes. Some institutions may take longer than others. But rest assured that Qualification Check is working hard to complete your verification. Find out more information at .

How many programmes can I be considered for each year?

You can apply to be considered for one programme each year. If your application is unsuccessful we will take your areas of interest and eligibility into account when considering you for alternative programmes.

When will my referees be asked to provide a reference?

As part of your application, you will be asked to provide the contact details of two referees. Your referees will be contacted by email once you have completed and submitted your application. The email will contain instructions on how they can submit your reference via our application system.

Please ensure that each reference letter that is submitted has been sent from an academic or professional email address. We cannot accept references sent from personal email addresses, such as Gmail, Hotmail, 126, 163, Sina, QQ or Yahoo.

I’ve received an email confirming that my referees have submitted my references, but this isn’t yet confirmed on my account?

Our electronic application service is provided by an external provider. Therefore, there may be a delay before the receipt of your references is confirmed on your student application account.

If you receive confirmation that your references have been received but this still isn’t confirmed on your account a week after receiving the confirmation, please contact the Recruitment & Admissions team.

Will my decision date be affected by a delay in the approval of my references or missing documentation?

If you submit a complete application by the deadline, you will receive an outcome by the corresponding decision deadline. However, we may be unable to guarantee a decision by the deadline if:

  • there are delays in receiving your references;
  • the documentation required to progress your application is missing.

If the requested information is not received within five working days, we may be unable to guarantee a decision by the round deadline.

If you have received confirmation that your references have been submitted but this is not reflected in your account after a week, please contact the Recruitment & Admissions team.

Will I be invited to interview?

Yes. As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates for our MSc programmes will be invited to an interview. Interviews are conducted through our video interview platform. You can access it online to record and submit your answers.

The interview process typically takes about 20 minutes and does not require extensive preparation. It aims to supplement your written application and help you convey your suitability for your chosen Master’s by answering questions about your previous experience and future aspirations.

AI guidance:

The purpose of the interview is to get to know more about you. We want to see how you approach problems, your motivations and wider interests.

If we identify malpractice or that answers provided are not genuine, then this may factor negatively into the admissions committee decision.

We have a blog you can read for more advice on how you can use AI responsibly in your application.

When will I receive a decision on my application?

We operate a staged admissions process with several deadlines throughout the year. If you submit your application within an admissions round you can usually expect a decision by the published decision deadline for that round. For more information please see 'Key dates and deadlines' table.

Please keep in mind that during busy times and/or where documents are missing from an application, this may take longer.

Why is my offer subject to checks by Central Admissions?

When an offer is submitted by the Business School, the Central Admissions team needs to make a number of final checks before it can be formally approved. These may include:

  • an additional review of an applicant’s academic background;
  • ensuring the references we have received are valid.

Until you have received confirmation of the official offer via ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s applicant portal, please do not:

  • arrange accommodation;
  • book flights;
  • decline any other offers you may be holding.

The majority of offers are successfully approved by Central Admissions. You will be able to see full details of your offer conditions once your official offer has been confirmed.

I’ve been put on a waiting list, when will I receive a final decision?

Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm when you will receive a decision on your application. We will be in touch via email as soon as there is an update. You do not need to provide any additional information unless you think it will add significant weight to your application. For example, updated transcripts, relevant internships or English language results.

My application has been unsuccessful; can I have some feedback?

Please email your programme Recruitment & Admissions team if you would like feedback on your application. Please note that whilst limited feedback can be provided, the decision of the academic selectors is final and it will not be possible for your application to be reconsidered.

Can I defer my place to next year?

If you receive an offer you can request to defer it to the following year. Requests will be considered until 23 June 2027.

Requests submitted after 23 June will only be approved in exceptional circumstances.

Please note deferrals are considered on a case-by-case basis and in order to be considered for a deferral you will need to pay the tuition fees deposit.

If you already paid your deposit for the current admissions cycle, this will be carried over to your new offer. However, our tuition fees do increase each year and you will be required to make up the difference between the old deposit and the new deposit amount.

Please note that you can only defer once.

Can you advise me on my eligibility?

We are unable to assess your eligibility before you apply. The academic selection committee needs to review a full application before any decision can be made.

Please check the specific entry requirements of the programme you are interested in studying. Please also check our international entry requirements. If you feel you meet our entry requirements you can apply online.

In addition to the guidance on our website, we hold regular information sessions online and on campus throughout the year. Here, we would be happy to discuss your suitability in more detail.

What are the international entry requirements?

We accept a wide range of international qualifications for postgraduate study at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.

We've provided general guidance in the country and region index so you can understand how qualifications awarded by public institutions overseas may satisfy our minimum academic admission requirements.

We review our requirements annually. Updates usually happen in September each year before the next academic year of entry.

If your country or region is not listed, please contact the relevant Admissions team for further information.

I don't meet the academic entry requirement but I have some work experience, will I be considered?

Most MSc programmes require at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree (or international equivalent). Work experience can add weight to an application. However, this would not replace the academic requirement, no matter how extensive the experience is. The exceptions to this are:

Please refer to the programme’s entry requirements for more detailed information.

Does the Business School offer pre-sessional English?

The Business School does not offer pre-sessional English courses. We do not accept attendance of a pre-sessional English course as a means of meeting the English language requirement.

I require a visa to study in the UK, when will I receive my CAS?

We will start to issue CAS numbers from April. The details of your CAS will appear on your My ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ record after you have met all the conditions of your offer. Please note that you will need to upload a scanned copy of the photo page of your passport and current visa (if you have recently completed a degree in the UK), before your CAS can be issued. Please upload these documents to the ‘Passport/visa’ section of your My ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ account.

Once your CAS is ready, you will receive an email confirming that it has been uploaded onto your My ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ account. If you log into My ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ you will be able to find your CAS number and the details that have been included in your CAS.

Please note that we cannot provide you with a CAS if you have outstanding conditions on your offer. Please ensure that you allow enough time to meet your conditions and apply for a visa before the start date of your programme of study.

What do I need for my visa appointment?

Your CAS number holds information about the programme you will study and if you have paid any fees. You will not need a formal letter from ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ confirming your offer status for your visa appointment.

For more information about what you will need, see the .

If you need any advice about your visa please contact the International Student Support team. Most information can be found on the International Student Support website.

How do I extend my visa to undertake an Extended Work Placement?

If you require a visa to study on the programme, you will be initially granted a 12 month student visa upon entry (with an additional four months post study). If you decided to extend the programme to 16 months, you will be eligible to apply for a student visa extension (please note additional costs apply). This would enable you to apply for the Graduate Worker Visa once your degree is confirmed.
