Connecting research to the world Climate finance needs more than good science. It needs the right connections between researchers, investors, policymakers and the next generation of practitioners. Our engagement work builds those connections, turning research into relationships and ideas into action.

Initiatives and programmes

The Climate Investment Challenge

The Climate Investment Challenge (CIC) is a student-led competition supported and mentored by the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment (CCFI). It brings together postgraduate students from leading universities worldwide to work in teams across finance, policy and data science. Participants design and pitch financial solutions that can unlock investment and scale climate action across sectors and geographies. Throughout the challenge, participants gain access to CCFI's global network of climate finance practitioners, along with mentorship, visibility and opportunities to develop their ideas further. The CIC supports the next generation of climate finance leaders while advancing practical approaches to getting more capital into climate-positive outcomes.
