The language of diversity: A guide to navigating inclusion
From bias to belonging: The role of language in building inclusion.
Changing a billion lives with technology.
At the Gandhi Centre for Inclusive Innovation, we study the conditions that make innovation inclusive or exclusive, and we translate that understanding into tools, programmes and ventures that work in the real world.
We work across four themes: startup leadership, financial inclusion, fundraising analytics and health innovation. We map the barriers that prevent low-cost innovation from crossing borders, and we build the evidence base that helps governments, non-profits and businesses remove them.
Our student competitions, fellowship programmes and executive education put this science directly into the hands of entrepreneurs, policymakers, data scientists and the communities they serve. Our work connects 勛圖窪蹋 Business School's research base to partners across India, Africa, Europe and beyond, with a particular focus on emerging economies where the need for inclusive innovation is greatest.
Three student ventures won a combined £10,000 in seed funding at the 2026 Ideas to Impact Challenge, with winning ideas targeting cancer care in Africa, kidney disease detection and smallholder farming income.
The Analytics for Society Awards 2026, co-hosted with University College London School of Management and the Institute of Analytics, offered a £3,000 prize pool to student teams applying data science to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In partnership with the Alan Turing Institute and the University of Warwick, the Data Science for Social Good programme has trained aspiring data scientists to build data-driven solutions for non-profit and government partners around the world.
We have developed a suite of data analytics and artificial intelligence tools that helps non-profit and charitable organisations optimise donor targeting and donation campaigning, with blueprint frameworks designed for rapid adoption by organisations that have been left behind by the analytics revolution.

Most people care about democracy. So why do they sit quietly while its foundations are being chipped away and what can organisations learn from this?
Scientific research needs to extend beyond good intentions. This is my manifesto for socially responsible science and why it is so desperately needed.
