Shaun Hon is the Founder and General Partner of Motion Ventures, a venture capital fund backing startups in maritime and supply chain technology. The fund operates through a consortium of more than 20 corporate operators – including Wilhelmsen, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Lloyd's Register, and Stolt-Nielsen – giving portfolio companies commercial access alongside capital. Since 2021, Motion Ventures has invested in more than 40 companies globally.  

Previously, Shaun spent five years as an engineer at Frazer-Nash Research in London, designing electric vehicles for Amazon, BMW and Ford, and worked at Shell, on flow system optimisation. He holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, where he received the Faculty of Engineering Award. He has served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at INSEAD and as an Investment Principal at TRIVE. Shaun is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree and a Tatler Gen.T Leader of Tomorrow.
