John Tang has been with the GIC (Singapore's Sovereign Wealth Fund) for two decades and currently Managing Director in the Private Equity CIO's Office.  He has been an Investment Committee member since 2010, and a member of GIC's Group Risk Committee. His prior roles include Co-Chair of GIC's Technology Business Group, Head of the PE Funds and Co-Investments Group in North America, and Head of GIC's Global Technology Group. He spent 10 years in Silicon Valley pioneering GIC's global venture capital and technology business. In addition to GIC, John is into his 10th year as IC member in the NTU Endowment (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore's largest technology and engineering university) and recently joined the Investment and Finance Committee of the JTC Corporation, Singapore's largest industrial developer and landlord. John graduated with a BEng in Electrical Engineering (First Class) and an MSc in Computing from ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ College London and holds an MBA from Harvard.
