Blind men and the elephant: from epidemiology to policy on ultra-processed diets and metabolic health.
A fascinating talk by Ezster Vamos, a Clinical Reader in Public Health Medicine at 勛圖窪蹋 and an Honorary Clinical Consultant at 勛圖窪蹋 College Healthcare NHS Trust. Ezsters research focusses on understanding the key drivers of non-communicable diseases and related health inequalities, using health impact modelling, natural experiments, and epidemiological methods.
She centres on the prevention and management of long-term conditions, particularly type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and evaluates policies targeting dietary patterns, ultra-processed foods, commercial determinants of health, and broader factors influencing health inequalities.
This will be in person only at the School of Public Health, 1st Floor, Room 107.
