The Turner Kirk Sprint Challenge Fund 2026 is now launching, bringing together researchers from the Department of Mathematics, Department of Life Sciences and Centre for Environmental Policy to develop innovative interdisciplinary approaches to the biodiversity and climate crises.
A total of £40,000 in seed funding will be available to support two or three multidisciplinary teams to test new ideas, build collaborations and generate preliminary results for future research and funding opportunities.
This year's programme provides additional time for researchers to connect across disciplines and develop ideas together before the formal call for proposals opens.
Key dates:
9 November 2026 – Online Q&A Session
28 January 2027 – In-person Workshop & Networking + Call for Proposals opens
15 March 2027 – Proposal deadline
Interested in getting involved? Join the online session on 9 November to learn more about the Challenge and start exploring ideas and potential collaborations. More information is to follow.
