Research Impact & Knowledge Exchange
Creating real-world impact requires more than developing a successful technology. Researchers need to understand who may use, shape or benefit from their research and engage with these stakeholders throughout the translational journey.
The MedTechONE Accelerator supports project teams to develop credible pathways from research towards clinical, commercial and wider societal benefit through effective stakeholder engagement and knowledge exchange.
Identify stakeholders and pathways to impact
We help researchers identify the people and organisations who may use, influence or benefit from their work, including patients, clinicians, NHS organisations, industry partners, regulators, policymakers, investors, funders and research collaborators.
Early engagement can help teams understand unmet needs, test assumptions and identify appropriate pathways towards adoption and impact. Identify and maximise opportunities to create impact from your research. Strengthen knowledge exchange with stakeholders including patients, the public, government and businesses. Explore different types of impact and how knowledge exchange can add value to your research and career.
Exchange knowledge and build partnerships
Knowledge exchange is a two-way process. Researchers share evidence, expertise and ideas while learning from the experience, needs and perspectives of research users.
We support researchers to build relationships with clinical, industry and other external partners to strengthen research relevance, collaboration, evidence generation and routes towards real-world application.
