Module 1: Sustainability Leadership – What Is at Stake?

Understand how sustainability can drive business growth. Learn to assess an organisation’s sustainability maturity using the Business Impact Framework (BIM) Framework and identify initiatives that create strategic value.

Module 2: Climate-Positive Strategy – Going Beyond Net Zero

Explore the evolving climate landscape, evaluate risks and opportunities, and design strategies that move from compliance to climate-positive impact.

Module 3: Business for Society – The Social Impact of Business

Learn to design social enterprise models and align them with measurable business value. Apply the theory of change framework to map, manage and measure the impact of a social innovation.

Module 4: Sustainable Leadership and Organisational Change

Discover how to connect purpose and culture through adaptive leadership and tools, including Ikigai, and embed sustainability into the organisation’s DNA.

Module 5: Rethinking Strategy

Reimagine competitive advantage by treating stakeholders as investors in all forms of capital. Learn to design strategies that create authentic stakeholder value.

Module 6: Systemic Innovation for Sustainability

Transform global challenges into opportunities by building triple-bottom-line business models and developing innovation roadmaps using AI SDG tools.

Course instructors

Scientific Director of the School's Leonardo Centre on Business for Society

His research aims to understand how business organisations learn to grow and adapt to environmental turbulence and how managers can guide these evolutionary processes. His research has been published in several leading journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, the Academy of Management Review and the Strategic Management Journal. His work has been covered in mainstream publications including Harvard Business Review, the Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. Professor Zollo is Editor-in-Chief of Organization & Environment and a past editor of the European Management Review. He served for a decade on the Executive Committee of the Academy of Business in Society, which he helped establish in 2002.

Leadership Lab Lead

Frank Brueck has more than 25 years of experience as a consultant, trainer, lecturer and researcher in the fields of CSR and sustainability, cultural change, cross-cultural management, team building and leadership development. Frank cofounded the GOLDEN for Impact Foundation and is a founding member of the International Association for Cross-cultural Competence and Management. His research focuses on the methodologies of CSR, cultural comparison, value-based management, sustainability and intercultural management and training. Frank holds a PhD in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria.

Livio Scalvini

Executive Director of the Leonardo Centre on Business for Society

With 25 years of international experience in sustainability, entrepreneurship, innovation, social impact, venture and corporate venture capital, strategy, marketing, and investment banking, Livio Scalvini is Executive Director of the Leonardo Centre on Business for Society. He is also cofounder of the GOLDEN for Impact Foundation and CEO of the GOLDEN for Impact Benefit Corp. He holds a degree in economics and business administration, and a Master's degree in macroeconomics and international finance from Universita degli Studi di Torino. Livio has held managerial positions and helped accelerate 1200 startups, advised large corporations on open innovation and stakeholder integration, and built tech-matchmaking platforms for more than ten thousand SMEs.
