Many of our staff (Medicine and widening to other faculties, e.g. Bioengineering and the Business School) use clinical data.
One area where risk was identified is the use of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ emails to transmit/receive patient information.
³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ staff receive identifiable patient information across ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s email system; consequently, they need some training and support to handle data safely and confidentially.
This e-learning course explores the concepts of confidentiality and data protection. Although this is a complex field, the course aims to provide you with the framework and tools to interpret the requirements for research with confidence.
