Dr Rachel Lai
Biography
Rachel Lai is currently a Lecturer in the section of Adult Infectious Disease within the department. She was also an alumnus here as she did her PhD in HIV molecular virology here at St Mary’s, followed by two post-doc posts at the University of Cambridge and later on at NIMR (now Crick), where she started her work on using different omics technologies to study HIV-associated opportunistic infections. She was awarded a MRC Career Development Award to establish her own group at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in 2018 and subsequently became a lecturer here.
