About the Speaker


Dr Aubrey Cunnington is a Clinician Scientist specialised in Paediatric Infectious Disease and Immunology.

He leads an interdisciplinary translational research group studying host-pathogen interactions in severe infections, focussing on malaria in particular.

His interest in malaria started as a medical student on elective in Kilifi, Kenya, and persisted through his PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and his Clinician Scientist Fellowship at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ College.

He is currently co-director of the ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ College Network of Excellence in Malaria, and also coordinates a pan-London Malaria Network.
