Classes are taught in a friendly and supportive environment by highly experienced Mandarin Chinese language tutors. Some also teach on ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s undergraduate language programme. Our courses develop practical skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a strong emphasis on building confidence in everyday communication.

Beginners are introduced to Mandarin pronunciation and the Pinyin system, including the four tones, alongside essential vocabulary, grammar and basic Chinese characters. As your Mandarin develops, you will become more confident in conversation, expand your vocabulary and develop your ability to read and understand written Chinese. Courses also introduce aspects of Chinese culture, customs and traditions, helping you understand the contexts in which the language is used.

Our Mandarin Chinese evening classes are offered at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in South Kensington, with selected courses also available live online. No previous experience is needed for our beginner course, and you do not need to be an ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ student or member of staff to enrol.
