Classes are taught in a friendly and supportive environment by experienced Japanese language tutors who also teach on ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s undergraduate language programme. Our courses develop practical skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, with a strong emphasis on building confidence in everyday communication.

Beginners are introduced to essential Japanese vocabulary and grammar alongside the Hiragana writing system, while continuing students develop their reading and writing skills further through Katakana and more advanced language structures. As your Japanese develops, you will also gain a greater understanding of the cultural contexts in which the language is used.

Our Japanese evening classes take place at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in South Kensington, with courses running from beginner to lower intermediate level during the academic year. No previous experience is needed for our beginner course, and you do not need to be an ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ student or member of staff to enrol.
