Athena Swan Charter

The Athena Swan Charter is a framework used across the world to support and transform gender equality within higher education (HE).

³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has been a member of the Charter since 2005. We currently hold a Silver institutional award. All our academic departments also hold their own awards, from Bronze to Gold.

Julia Higgins Medal and Award

The Julia Higgins Medal and Awards are awarded annually to recognise individuals, groups, and departments that have made a significant contribution to the support of women in academia at ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.

Campus facilities

You can find details of ³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's free provision of period products on Property Division's webpages. Pads and tampons should be available via vending machines in one female toilet and one accessible toilet per building.

There is additional free period care provision in Faculty of Natural Sciences buildings.

Property Division also provides information on baby changing rooms and nursing rooms for parents to express milk.
