Depending on the nature of the proposed study, a number of external bodies need to give their approval for the trial to continue. Some organisations receive applications through IRAS, but others need to be contacted separately:
- REC (IRAS)
- MHRA (IRAS)
- Adoption on the Portfolio (IRAS)
- ARSAC (Imaging)
- IRMER (Imaging)
- Technical agreements (with pharmaceutical companies)
Please bear in mind that these external approvals can take up to 60 days so should be actioned as soon as possible.
